This off-topic state has nothing to do with Chess.com topic classifications. In this case, off-topic simply means the topic is no longer the same as the original. It may still be relevant to chess, therefore, acceptable to C.c censors.

...can I just say, I think it's a good thing that threads wander on & off the original theme. Opens up the dialogue & sometimes it can even be friendly. Otherwise threads like this can become stuffy & conceited.
