Hi Ray, my name is Ian.
I am not retired, but do have physical disabilities, i am middle aged now, Didn't start learning to play chess until i was 18 yrs old, and i was given a old chess book and a magnetic set, and they said; "You want to know how to play, here you go."
I am Australian, i use to play chess more seriously, but as my rating reflects today, i don't care so much. Not much else to tell you really. Only that i have seen chess.com grow a lot over more than decade of being here. It's the best site for chess online in my opinion. It's the only place i play online. Oh yeah, sometimes i am hardly on here, other times, i play a fair bit. I always end up back here, because where else should a chess player go?

Thank you for your comment here. We are both here more than a decade ago in 2007. You were here Dec 2007 and I was here Sept 2007.
I agree with you that this is the best chess site so far but I still like the v2 than v3. We are now in v3. There are so many chess sites in the Internet. I was registered to almost all chess sites if not all. You can visit (me) my name in all chess sites but I was already inactive to those chess sites except here and chessmaniac. I visit Lichess and chess24 once in a while. If there is a chess site that I am not register there, please let me know. I will register in that chess site.
