The Dachshund, barks when your piece gets attacked. And chases the pawns all over the board, sometimes accidentally till the 8th rank.

The Snowflake and the Coconut . The Snowflake is white but plays for the black pieces. The Coconut is black but plays for the white pieces. Both pieces are resented by every other piece in the set.

Stone. it just stands there, taking up the 4 central squares. Can't capture, can't move, doesn't belong to anyone. it's just there, sitting there.

I have done this before with a flower pot. That was a great day... happy.png

Baby pawn, it spawns a queen every move and it could not capture and can move like a king

The minefield: occupies all empty squares at the start of the game, and if a piece lands on an opposite colored square it blows up. (Example: the white bishop lands on a black square, the square explodes. THEN the square is marked with a red circle so it can’t be used again

The block. It does nothing. Just captures one of your pieces every time you move.

that's something

2Nf31-0

Ping-pong ball: can only move in the 8th rank and 7th rank. It can only move diagonally

Adorn_Aliment: spams

Kaiser-Swaghelm-II

The Maginot Pawns.... They can't move anywhere. They start on B5, C5, D5, and E5, and they just sit there whilst Whites pieces go around them!

EA: makes you pay lots of money

The elevator - can only move vertically relative to the board

The Time Traveller - A rook whose legal moves are not based on the state of the board for the current move, but rather the state of the board 5 turns ago (or, to make it really useless/stupid, the state the board will be in 5 turns from now)

The flatulent knight - it makes other pieces uncomfortable whenever they're on an adjacent square.  They can still do anything they might do otherwise, but it makes them...uncomfortable.
