Apropos the earlier comments about IP addresses, I see that currently EdgaTroll, TOQATEST and Mihai-Napradean all have the same most recent IP address. Please note that Chess.com's Terms of Service (found at www.chess.com/legal) specify that each person can only have ONE account active at any one time: can you please explain what is happening here, otherwise I am going to disable the latter two accounts.

Normally I'd deal with this through private messages, but since the first two accounts seem to be posting to this thread, I thought it worth asking here.

You beat me to it...even without the IP address, I was about to post that TOQATEST was clearly EdgaTroll.  Obvious in the first 5 seconds.  Pure genius my $$$.

EdgaTroll, also please note that if you're going to claim one or both of the other accounts belong to one or more of your brothers, I would need some sort of corroborating evidence to that effect. I will also take a lack of explanation as an implicit admission of guilt.

Also please let me know if you'd prefer to keep either the "Test" account or the one claiming to be a "gay vampire" over this one.

To answer your last point,  I work in IT. My first degree was in Computer Science and the school I went to had a focus on programming.

 

While I don't perform programming as my primary job, I understand the complexities in trying to weed out abusive behavior. If you truly think solving 90% of the problem programmatically is that easy then I suggest you start coding; there's a lot money to be made. There are mechanisms that might minimize problems but they come with tradeoffs in usability and functionality.

Dont delete my account, Edgar is my brother, but feel free to get rid of his account he has asbergers and he is't right in the head.  Not sure about that gay vampire tho, kinda funny, never seen him before lol

The "it was my little brother" defense has been ridiculed since Usenet messageboards long before chess.com ever existed...surely you don't think anyone would buy that for a minute.

If you are claiming to be letting your brother use your account, I believe the TOS allows them to close all the accounts down, because you aren't supposed to share accounts.
