No its not
Is it unethical to not accept a rematch after going 1-1?

Amazes me how many people think being rude like this is acceptable... when was the OP "whining"? He was asking a question. For a chess forum, you'd expect a bit more class.
Well, "whining" is not exact. It's however a better description than "asking a question".
A proper description is: "ranting uncontrollably, insulting his opponent and the entire chess community in a foul language". That's very very far away from "asking a question".

Where was the foul language? I didn't see any "ranting" either, I just took it as conversational...?
I have a strong impression that you've only read the title, and not the actual opening post. Search for "aholes", and you'll find it.

That's extremely odd... I'd read that opening post three times looking for what people were objecting to, and none of the bad language was in there.
I just reread it, and, yes, I 100% see what you mean. Either my eyesight's going or it was some weird glitch...

This question was not that complicated to answer, nor does it require such a complex dialogue that journeys to meaningless pedantry, it simple terms NO ITS NOT!

I'm sorry but if you only care to rematch the person when you've lost and not after you've won then you are self-serving. A person who is self-serving is an ahole under most people's views. This is in every walk of life, be it sports or otherwise.
I would love for you to show me where I've insulted the entire playerbase. I'll wait.

No need to point out the first time. You did it again. Good job.

You either don't understand conditional statements or are very bad at understanding people. Show me the exact line that is insulting the entire playerbase.
In brief: no.
