One can never be certain of the reason for disconnecting, intentional or otherwise, but that's OK because it's irrelevant.
The outcome, which is a poor site experience for the opponents of disconnectors, is the same and is cause enough to impose restrictions or sanctions irrespective of the cause.
As I've said before, there are sites where you can choose the option "who disconnects loses" (wich happens immediately) when the game is about to start. I think is a good solution. Obviously you are paired only with those who did choose the same option as you.
why not reduce the reconnect time to one minute. That should be plenty of time to cure accidental disconnections. Winners don't have to wait so long to claim their victory. Also prevents cheaters from consulting a computer before getting back into the game.
This Forum turned to be like a battle between two Scots (ConnorMacLeod and Carol_Anne) against two English (Ziggy_Zugzwang and RG1951).
In the division of both sides, the Scot in favor of the English (Kaynight).
Battle starts... at some moment, Carol and Ziggy made their peace.
Fight goes on... But reading the last comments of both Scots (Carol and Connor), I believe that what truly hurted them was to see their own homeland man (Kaynight) betray them in favor of the English, going definitly to their side.
3 X 2 and England wins... The prize: the dominace of the Topic.
