I quite enjoy NFL. But I don't understand why there must be an offence and a defence and a field goal kicker and a punter. Why can't it just be the same team of guys playing the whole game? I mean, to have a guy that kicks goals and a separate guy to punt what's up with that?

In the old days the NFL did have players play both sides and kick also. It's all about specialization nowadays. I'm sure some of the finer athletes in the NFL today could produce better results than some of their teammates on the other side of the ball.

After yesterday's game, it's become clearer than ever than our defense needs to get better. Tom Brady has been otherworldly as usual, and is on pace the win the MVP, but he only plays on one side of the ball. We can't keep relying on our offense - that strategy has gotten us to 2 and 2, and is not going to work better in the future. In 3 of the past 4 seasons, the top offense in the NFL reached the Super Bowl, and lost - and in the remaining season it didn't even get that far. We need to make sure this time around that team isn't us.

Really looking forward to the Super Bowl rematch later today! We're coming off two close victories, which isn't bad - a win is a win, after all. But today is the chance for us to really make a statement in a game that everyone (figuratively speaking) will be watching. Last time we came back from 28-3. This time, let's blow them out from the first quarter to the end of the game!
