Is yearly gold suscription completely erased if I buy a monthly diamond suscription?

Hi everyone,

I bought a yearly gold suscription 4 months ago. Now, I have more time to take advantage of lessons, videos, etc... I'm thinking about buying the diamond suscription for 1 month and take advantage of that.

My question is simple: Once my new monthly diamond suscription ends, will I lose all my premium benefits or will I get my previous gold suscription status?

I want to be sure that I won't lose my gold status before buying the diamond upgrade for one month. I paid it for a whole year after all.

Your question is not simple.

You get credit for what is remaining on your subscription when you upgrade. That credit will get applied to your upgrade. You pay the difference. You can see the amount  of credit available on the upgrade page.

Using that method, you would probably currently have a credit equal to around $19 after 4 months on an annual gold membership. One month of diamond costs $14.  So if you downgraded to gold again after a month of diamond,  there would still be a $5 or so credit left to do that. I guess that would still get you 2 months of gold membership.

To add another potential wrinkle to what @justbefair said. If you purchased on the app, the upgrade doesn't work the same way, as far as I'm aware. It treats it as a new purchase completely.
