Hello Community,

I work outside of India and now I have returned back to India. WHen I tried to buy a membership, it is still showing the pricing for the country where I live. It is expensive. How can I purchase the membership according to the place where I live in India?

Thanks for your support!

Best Regards, Mr. P

The price and currency is based off of the flag you have chosen.

Change your flag back to India.

If that doesn't immediately work, you might need to reset your cookies.

You'll want to contact support to see about getting that fixed.

The site has country specific pricing, for many countries. It's both local currency and pricing based on the market in the country.

I personally am happy to pay a little more in my wealthy country (I am far from rich) to enable people in some very poor country's to be able to play for a price they can afford. I like the idea of ethically based pricing. Not so long about I remember meeting a fellow in west africa who worked for £30 (about $37) a month for 6 x 12 hour days per week. We are fortunate in the west mostly.

I have never heard that there is an deliberate system of pricing based on country.  They just tried to make an automated system using published currency exchange rates.

So if the price is $120 in US dollars for a Diamond annual subscription, you just multiply that by the exchange rate to get the price in local currency.

The US dollar has been close to a 1:1 parity with the Euro.  Today, Google says that 1$US= .95 Euros

Therefore $120 would cost close to 114 Euros.

There are often slight changes in exchange rates every day .

That has been going on for a little while. I believe it predated the September 1st plan changes but I think the process expanded to more countries then.
