It's ok to switch to v3!

One really annoying thing for me is this constant: XYZ is online or XYZ is offline. Especially if someone is constantly logging on and off and I am in the middle of a game. Its annoying and unnecessary. I really don't need to know if someone else is online or not in the middle of a game.

We can do knowing how many ppl are tracking us.

   When I 1st came here--4 yrs ago-- I actually watched the Welcome video. I assume for new people there will be a V3 welcome video. (V3 doesn't have to be in the title), but a quick 5-7 min explanation of site navigation would be nice.

As far as I'm concerned, this thread has outlived its purpose... now it can serve for fun and jokes for all I care. 

By the way Ashvapathi - please tell me too how to turn these "online-offline" notifications off during games. I also find it distracting...

Its in the settings. The main settings(not the settings during the game). In that, you'll find a Live Chess item. And within that there is a friend's alerts thing. That needs to be changed to requests only or none to stop knowing about the online/offline of your friends during the game.

I didn't know that I was tracking them. These are default settings. And I didn't know how to change them. I use V3 on and off. I like it, though I am still getting used to the layout slowly. I don't like the tactics trainer in V3. V2 had tactics trainer archive.

Except tactics trainer, I think V3 is better than V2.

You can turn of login/logoff notifications from within Live as well (click the settings icon first):
