Yeah, I don't really know what I can do to prove you wrong. The reason I made the thread is because I am a beginner to chess, and to see a fellow beginner (check link in #1) get insulted by a toxic players does not cast this site in a good light, forcing me to make this thread to a) waste her majesty's time and b) find out if most players are actually like that, or if I had just met the special 1%.
I'm not saying I don't believe you, I'm saying it's silly for a new account to judge a community they're so new to, and on top of that it's silly to judge a community based on 1 other member who also recently joined.
For example, imagine someone who has been here 5 years saying the community is bad because of a different user who has been here many years and has made 100,000 posts and how much support that toxic user gets. That would make a lot more sense.

The movie I saw (and where my profile pic is from) gives a slightly different version of the story. In spite of what the real Tonya Harding did or what was done on her behalf without her consent (how would anyone know beside those involved?), I admire how that "white trash" girl made it to the highests ranks and level in sports, shaking the doom of her social class.
Some youngsters from poor neighborhood could take example on her for that aspect, that can't be deleted by the scandal at the end of her career.
Oh, and she made it in a sport that is not stupid like soccer.
