Just reached around 2200 rating in Puzzles while still being absolute garbage in real games.

Something funny I realized today when I reached the landmark of 2200 puzzle rating. I love chess puzzles; I hate actually playing chess.

I've had an interest in chess for 34 years, but no one I knew was interested....so, just retired, found a local club.....realised very quickly, chess is like a death of a thousand cuts....it's awful,...painful...But...this morbid fascination keeps me kinda coming back..

Puzzles are just puzzles. It's just a glimpse of chess. But gratulation, I suck with puzzles and playing chess. Haha

Yep I am over 2500 puzzles and more than 1100 lower in rapid, not much correlation I'm afraid

I usually do puzzles on days when I'm working and play on days off when I am more likely to concentrate better

One should expect that their puzzle rating is much higher than their actual rating ,after all you have been informed you are in a critical position and a tactic is available. In actual games no such aid is available.
