What do you think of these and would you like playing with one if you could? 😁 https://www.pianki.com/Historical-Themed-Chess-Sets_c_554.html

Whoa those chess sets are pricey and pretty shiny. I don't think that would be my favorite chess set even if I got one for free. It seems like an okay set to play on special occasions or something, but I like my sets to look fairly "normal" in color and piece shapes. The pieces in various metals or crystals just look too different sometimes. Wood or plastic pieces seem less distracting and more of a subtle class while the players can focus on the chess position rather than how sparkly the pieces are.

Just my opinion though. Everyone is different and those sets look neat, but probably not my main preference even if not for the cost. Perhaps just a bit too bold for me.

@KeSetoKaiba Yeah, I just thought they looked pretty cool. I appreciate your response. Also, you seem like a friendly person, when you help people both here and on Youtube, so I think it's wonderful.

how to not mouse slip

Try to not be nervous when playing and try to not rush; by doing so, you'll be less likely to mouse-slip; we can't eliminate mouse-slips 100% (we are all human after all), but we can at least minimize the probability of it happening to us.

If you are playing a time control too quick for "not rushing" then mouse-slips just become part of the game and part of the strategy (as bullet chess strategy has revealed with plans sometimes based on how fast it is to move or how long reactions take such as throwing in a check just so the opponent must take time to move the King etc.)

Adding to this, don't drink a lot of caffeine; your hands will shake

If your hands are literally shaking from the amount of caffeine, then I don't think your chess should be your priority. You need to check into the hospital! I like an occasional coffee because it is warm and I like the taste, but please use moderation and common sense people lol

Keseto has got the right of it, be careful with caffeine bro, ..too much and u know, my mother told me one of her co-workers used to drink about 6 cups a day and his heart started to flutter, so u know, u have to learn how to cycle it on and off when you develop a caffeine tolerance. I'm sure u know what that is. ...

What about KETO Gummies? Just how many is too many? I usually eat 3-4 before a big game. It doesn't help my chess but I've lost 37lbs in 5 days and I feel great.

xD If the chess.com spamming forums are any indication, then it is a scam and any is too many grin.png

Maybe you're right, I've been having palpitations, murmuring lately.

It has been going well so far, except that I've switched over to YouTube as my main platform for now and hardly ever live stream anymore. Perhaps that will change in the far future, but for the foreseeable future, I like the fact that I can prepare a YouTube video and everyone in the world can watch at their own pace. One of the biggest problems I had with live streams was that my chess.com friends are from all over the world and no matter what time I'd stream at, there would always be others which were in a different time zone and it wasn't as convenient for them.

This is my chess.com club simply for the purpose of announcements regarding my YouTube videos and a little "sneak peak" behind the process, or updates as my channel continues: https://www.chess.com/club/kesetokaiba-chess-coliseum

chess.com has always been my go-to chess site and it is still my favorite all these years later happy.png

10 min time control chess is the most popular time control on chess.com and that is the time control I play most often; this is also a good time control for general improvement, but I'm also an advocate for playing at least two different time controls regularly so that you don't condition yourself to only moving at one pace. I mostly played 10 min or longer games (if you combine in-person chess like OTB), but lately I've also been playing in Untitled Tuesday more and that gives me some needed blitz practice too.

Speed chess can have some benefits for learning, but it can also be harmful to your chess if used incorrectly and most who play blitz are mostly harming their chess. Here is an article I like regarding speed chess:

I did some streaming over a year ago and had some positive feedback. At the time, most people were streaming games or lessons.

I like tactical puzzles and so this is what I did (it was different than most others). People liked I was doing something different and liked listening to me talk through a puzzle. I'd talk about what patterns or weaknesses I would see then do the checklist: checks, captures, attacks.

I already considered my target audience from Day 1 of my YouTube channel. My target audience is mostly beginner to intermediate range chess players who want helpful analysis or insights and typically want to learn like me.

I'm sometimes flexible with a few more advanced topics or videos a bit more light-hearted like my chess memes video I made a little while ago happy.png

Do you like anime, and if so which one is youre fav? (I know like nothing about anime other than a few shows so yeah)

I should probably say the original Yugioh series (1996), since my chess.com username and profile is inspired from this anime!

However, some other anime shows I like a lot are:

Dragon Ball, Pokemon, Kill Me Baby (lesser known anime which has a comedy style similar to the cartoon Tom & Jerry), Mew Mew Power/Tokyo Mew Mew (basically knockoff of Sailor Moon, which I wouldn't be against watching, but never watched that anime), Saiki K. and several others happy.png

I don't really like horror genre and I also don't really watch movies that much in general, so I don't think I really have a favorite scary movie. It just isn't really my interest.
