What did I miss?
Kramnik is one of my all time favourite players….
Why do you think so? I am sure that Kramnik is not a maniac and he does not want certain persons to suffer.
I don't believe Kramnik is a maniac, either.
Though I believe he strongly despises chess cheaters - as most chess players do. And he would certainly want players, whom he suspects of cheating, to suffer the consequences.
Him saying, "You can check my games all you want" is fine. And he requested the same be done to Hikaru. And Hikaru's games were checked. And Kramnik was not satisfied with this, and requested that they be checked again ...
This should tell you what he believes about Hikaru's play (and the play of other players, whom he has mentioned).
The thing about such accusations, though, is they carry a heavy burden of proof. They also have the potential to damage reputations and ... well, it's all very messy indeed.
I use often my stockfish sword and nobody stops me. I killed many with my stockfish. Its strange the fact that kramnik was discovered and banned
Yep, It is easy to say that Kramnik is not nice and polite. But I do not see others well known chess players who wanna to fight with the cheaters. May be we should not start this fight at all.
Will say, just watched Hikaru, doing Titled Tuesday play- still wearing headphones.
Thought that was supposed to be stopped?
Everyone should be aware it happens, on account of the tens of thousands banned each month by chess.com for fair play violations every month, regularly having a few titled players among them.
Recently I saw that from 10 my blitz games 2 were played by cheaters (accounts were blocked by chess.com). More and more often when playing against same or lower level opponents I feel like I am fighting without any chances - an opponent easily overplays me (especially in tournaments). More and more often I hear - do not play rapid - it is useless as there are too many cheaters there. I feel that the chess is not as fun as it used to be…

You've run into 2 players in the last 50 games who were banned for cheating. That's quite unlucky (based on typical stats).

Is it cheaters ?

Yes. Usually that means engine assistance has been detected in your opponent's games.
KRAMNIK NEEDED CLOSING DOWN, HIS ACCUSATIONS WERE TOTALLY UNFOUNDED, AND GOING PUBLIC WAS THE LAST STRAW, OR NAIL I. TH
LAST NAIL IN THE COFFIN SO TO SPEAK, KRAMNIK ACTED LIKED SOME WASHED OUT G M WHO NEEDED SOME ATTENTION BIT OF A SAD CHARACTER WHO SHOWED A LACK OF RESPECT IN HIS VENDETTA!!?
It is good for.Kramnik to be banned from chess.com that is full of dangerous amateurs those can blacken your white teeth principles. By the way it is true the fact that Kramnik used an engine against us!!?? Strange
It is sad to see him like that. He once beat the unbroken. It's just, time doesn't treat everyone well.
Honestly, I don't know if he did the right thing by standing up for what he believed, or he simply should have stayed quiet to not to risk his reputation. Guess it doesn't matter anymore.
Maybe he wanted to follow magnus' lead, and took him as an example, expected to be treated like him maybe, but even magnus was fined to pay 10.000 in the end. I actually was expecting more strategy from him, as to what to say, when to say and where.
