Locking forum topics

Ok, I am going to try to be nice here. However I am a little ticked off. Perhaps even wrongly so.

It is concerning the topic lets discuss politcs. 1st off why was it in the wrong forum to begin with ? Secondly I wasn't even aware it was, obviously before I wasted my time only to have my posts removed, and causing it to be locked, which really ticks me off. Instead....Why couldn't it be moved to the proper forum heading then. No I didn't read previous posts in that thread, so what. I don't really care what others think politically. However I do like voicing my facts I list on our corrupt politicians. I guess you'll probably remove or not allow this. I won't be commenting further about this matter except to say I value my time, and don't like wasting it.

He's physically able to? You've tested and verified this?

For a while there the moderator team was not enforcing the prohibition of political discussion in the regular forums. This was recently highlighted, discussed and determined by Chess.com management that this was to change and that the restriction will be enforced and political discussion must take place in one of the groups or clubs where this is permitted, such as Open Discussion (very open) or Debate+ of Politike (moderated by those groups' admins).

This was extensively covered in a recent thread on this issue, but I appreciate that more recent newcomers to the forums might not have seen that discussion. But it is definitely Chess.com policy going forward.

I have also redacted the profanity in post #4, which is also against our Terms of Service: please don't do that any more. Again, there may be private clubs that permit swearing, so please join one of them and swear away, but not in the public forums.

I can appreciate policies, I understand them, even if I don't agree with them. Was also already aware about swearing as well. As well that this site is monitored. As all sites everywhere are. My biggest complaint is still especially since it wasn't closed sooner, why wasn't it just moved, I know you may not have that answer, and it may even already be there. Its really beside the point now, I have vision problems as well, it can take me awhile to type things out, much less see anything at the best of times. I know that isn't your problem either.

I might add, being a smart alec doesn't help anyones cause, that includes moderators. As far as the comment I used you deem swearing I do not. I could obviously debate it with you, but to what end, to prove you can ban, or remove my comments. I already know you can do that and there really isn't anything I can do except complain, which I am. At the end of my year, I will close this account, or if you prefer you can close it, and prorate my funds.

Topics can be moved within the forums but not to a group. So topics that are not allowed in the general forums get locked.

What does prorate mean in English?

Say you pay me $60 for a years' service. You only use 3 months and then ask for a refund. I prorate it at $45 for the 9 unused months and credit that amount to you.

Yeah and we now live in a world of censorship, All because of the political correctness garbage. That wasn't the 1st time David has deleted my post, I let the 1st go without a big deal. But I can complain in other ways as well.

Personally I don't think we should be living in Nazi USA. Secondly It was a political discussion. I wasn't rude. I listed FACTS, Political facts. If someone can't handle that they ought to leave our country.

And Blarg, I didn't test anyone, so don't incite this further, I really don't want to hear snide remarks. I am not some little kid.
