I want to get better at chess, but sometimes I loose a lot.

Should I keep playing?

Sometimes I feel very bad when I loose too much.

Is there some tecnique? O should I rest for a while?

Thank you very much.

There are lots of things you can do, and since I am a real amateur I will give only the things that helped me.

  1. Get a teacher. IRL or online. I had some on ICC, (search on google of it). If you get a good teacher he will guide you into the game and you will be surprised to see how much you can learn.
  2. Do chess puzzles. Search on google for a site called ChessTempo. Its free and contains lots of puzzles and exercises.
  3. Learn all the chess combinations like forks, pins, skewers, undermining, discovered attacks, etc
  4. Play long games, like postal chess. Those kind of games you can think a lot on the moves and that seems to be very helpfull. Theres a site called Stansco, also free.
  5. Try to develop pieces as soon as you can, castle fast, and when you think of a move, think on what your opponent will do after that. Always try to think 2 or 3 moves ahead.

Those are still helpfull for me. Hope you get better. ;)

Good luck and dont give up on chess.

If your trouble is loosing, you could work on your knots. If losing is your problem, read a chess book.

Loosing isn't a problem, if you're playing to win. Improving your play comes eventually if and only if, you stay in the game. Only spectators have to be told what's going on, while watching an game.

join a team ask one of your higher rated friends in this team to play you unrated themed matches with discussion and analysis in game even if needed with a takeback option if possible as unrated too .

i have recently done something similar with a player here who wanted insights in the taimanov

follow this route for a bit you will get your chess fix with the added value of improving your knowledge of certain lines and preserve your rating until you ae ready to put those ideas into practice
