loss on time

i miss the chess widget on google.  i really only play my friends online.  They know i travel for work and am not always able to make my moves in a timely fashion.  On the widget, we would all forego the claim on time knowing the other would eventually move.  On chess.com this doesn't seem like a possibility.  sucks.  chess.com should make that an obvious option.

I think you can go on holiday.  I think this freezes your games.

There is a box you can un-check in the online settings.

I have a game that was started and has been out of time for several weeks.  I would like to end it since it is out of time and it looks like the other player is never coming back.  I don't see a way to do this.  I see an abort button but that looks like that is me resigning.  Can someone enlighten me?
