Didn't want to create an account there, so I did flag that one negative review but that's it.

I wrote a review and hit submit, but it never showed up.  Maybe it takes a little while?

Who cares about these review sites? Do you want excellent reviews? Just offer some free premium memberships and you'll get like 40 "honest" good reviews. I remember that, when I bough a laptop, I went to such review sites, only to find out that the top product they recommend was from a company which has a tradition of very low quality. Yeah, impartial reviews :)

Speaking of reviews, here is the worst hardware manufacturer in the world:

http://www.bbb.org/greater-san-francisco/business-reviews/computers-wholesale-and-manufacturers/asus-computer-international-in-fremont-ca-16870

Still, there are thousands of stupid people like me who would always buy an Asus motherboard :)

funny.  i have had 1 (out of perhaps 10) bad Asus board and just had to swap it out (came dead).  it was MSI that something like 3 died on me in less than a month.

oh, but chess.com has never died on me, so they are still good.

I have used other sites before, and whatever problems that people may have had here are NOTHING compared to what I have seen elsewhere. I have Yahoo! e-mail, and it started sending my e-mails from one site (that I will not name, unless asked to) to my junk folder without me reading them. Suddenly, they told me that I had lost all of the abilities to join tournaments, create new games, and other things. They did, of course say that "(my) problems will go away if you pay for PREMIUM MEMBERSHIP!!!" (their enthusiastically annoying caps and exclamation points, NOT mine). So I quit that, and joined here. Best chess sight I have ever seen. And any requests about premium membership are understandable, as they have often said they don't want nearly as many ads here. It would actually make the site run better, so it is good for us too. So don't complain about this site, because you won't find any better ones for serious or casual chess games, lessons, videos and more.

Yeah, that's better. Tofu is too yummy to compare the two, IMO.

I love chess.com and I come on every chance I get, but it seems like some of the features are wasted. I never even touch the LEARN section. And they do nag at you a lot to pay. Not to play, but about half the other stuff I would care to use. But I can get away with only forums and live chess. I don't mind. Although it would be nice if FIDE or something made a huge donation... Ya... There's a good fantasy. But I love chess.com. It's the first website I open when I get on my computer and stay on it for about the entire time (which is pretty long for me). As long as Live Chess is free, LIVE LONG AND PROSPER CHESS.COM!!!
