As an endless quiz self-proclaimed celebrity (and top 100 player) I wholeheartedly support this.

Unfortunately, I don't see this happening as chess.com seems more interested in Twitch and boring streamers than in actually fun, interesting, and sometimes educational activities.

The endless chess quiz taught me that:

-Alexander Alcoholine once threw a queen (maybe a king) after losing a game

-3 world chess champions were members of Botvinnik's chess school at some point.

-Lasker was world champion for 27 years and 337 days.

-Capablanca was the first to win a world championship without a single loss.

-The longest chess game was 269 moves long.

-The longest chess game in a world championship match was 124 moves, Karpov-Korchnoi, draw by stalemate.

Those are just a few that came to my mind, now, let's compare, what do Twitch streamers teach us? To play Bh3 and troll Black's fianchetto.

As a former top 200 endless quiz player, and making 11 questions to attempt to trip up top players (and when their percentage stayed the same I figured out their strategy), I think endless quiz should come back.

@The_Helloer Actually I've been thinking of writing a thread about the puzzle's announced death for a long time, but as they keep postponing the date when they will close V2, I haven't written it yet. I may do it soon though.

@farmer2013 What do you mean by questions to trip up top players? I hope you aren't one of those who set an incorrect option as the answer to troll...although part of the fun is knowing when to skip a question.

josephyossi

thx

Yeah, I did. Then I realized you can skip to questions you know the answer to and gain points.
