Mouse Slip - how to react?

I had a bad mouse slip in a game, blundering my queen. It was CLEARLY a mouse slip. I asked him for a draw. If he had immediately refused it, I wouldn't have been offended, but he took a long time before deciding, which came across as petty (it's tough to put the situation into words, you had to be there to understand it). It felt really offensive in the moment--which it probably wasn't--but I understand it now. I would probably have done the same thing.
