Hi,

I want to use a chess engine in unrated games on chess.com. How do I do that? Is there an engine on chess.com I can use ingame or is there a 3rd party application that I can pair to my browser while playing chess.

Thanks for reading

Use of engines, even unrated, are not allowed unless your opponent agrees to it in advance. Even then it's risky to do, since the site can't know if you have opponent approval and may close your account for that usage.

You are allowed to use engines in unrated games according to Daniel Rensch

If your opponent isn't aware of it and reports you, you still risk your account being closed.

don't use an engine, not sure what your plan is but its pretty idiotic. A big misconception I hear is that using an engine will make you better at chess because you'll learn from the engine, that is absolutely stupid and untrue.

Moral of the story: Except if you and a friend want to test who has the strongest engine, you should never use an engine

couldn't care less buddy, you asked in a public forum I give you my answer. You can also get banned for cheating if you want, your choice. Or play who has the strongest computer on a chess website, your choice again

You asked for the opinion. Read the first post. Do you see the question mark? That was you asking.

Engine users are the scum of the chess world. Engines are great for analyzing your games but using them in game just shows your lack of understanding.
