Very Nice!!
I especially like the Explore integration.
Thanks!
Why are the FEN and PGN functions back for ongoing games? Weren't they removed to make cheating more inconvenient?
They were brought back again because making cheating more inconvenient was unduly punishing database users.
In other news, if you hit Explore on a given game and end up looking at the standard starting position in Explorer, does that mean that your game's position was not found?
Cheers
The new options are really good. I really love the game explorer direct link...is really useful and I like more the new layout.
However, I am sorry for not premium members who won't be able to use this option....:(
For the get PGN and FEN....I don't agree at all having them available in a game ongoing...
I see no reason at all when you should need them in a game ongoing unless you are willing to cheat or check and online database, and probably most will use the first option....so I would keep them available just on games already finished.... It's just my point of view....:)
But I agree with DeepGreene you could also get the position on game explorer...sigh! it seems that if you want to cheat you will finally find the way to do it....
Well, let's keep it as it is as at least it helps those users looking for databases...:)

You'll laugh, but in the last few days, I realized how easy it is to write FEN by hand. :)
Erik, I have this funny feeling that the "Explore" link doesn't work with "thematic" games... i.e. because some of the opening moves are assumed.
I like the new layout on the game screen. Lots of options but not too cluttered. I've said it before and I'll say it again: A quality site with that apparently has quality minds behind it

Not laughing...:) I know how to write FEN now .... :))
rnbqkbnr/pppppppp/8/8/8/8/PPPPPPPP/RNBQKBNR w KQkq - 0 1
hehehe, it is easy to define a position and if you get some practice it will take less than 90 secs. to do it....yet it is more dificcult than copying /pasting the FEN position already available there...
Possibly in the next round of not changes for the sake of changes but rather for the sake of improvements this suggestion will prevail.
good idea. this change was just for the heck of it, you know? just a willy-nilly decision made on a whim because i was bored...
Erik, next time you're bored, can you make me a website?
*Poof*
You're a website.
Nice. That actually made me laugh out loud. That reminds me, I should go watch something by Mel Brooks . . .
