No cussing policy (community guideline)

I keep forgetting this most absurd “rule” and censorship by the corporation, Chess.com.

For those who don’t know, if you cuss IN A PRIVATE MESSAGE it will not send and you will lose the message all together. Twice, maybe three times, I have lost entire emails in which I invested invaluable time and effort on, due to this censorship. Most recently I  said “What the f*** do I know” and for this self deprecating humorous comment I am punished. 

This must change. At the very least, issue a warning and allow the “sender” a chance to edit their message. 

P.S. Yes I understand this possibly stems from members abusing other members and could curtail some abuse.

I didn't know that it would just outright reject and delete your mail without even the chance to edit it ..  seems pretty bizarre to me. This got to change.

A real yes man, eh? You think rules cannot or should not ever change? Are you a cop? 

Yes it happened to me once a few months ago, yesterday I forgot and made a joke. Lost two entire paragraphs. Horse dung. 

Understood but the topic at hand is cussing in a private message. 

Oh gawd please make it stop. 

I got an answer...because we are adults. 

Basically, this is just discrimination against Australians, Scots, Irishmen and any other nationality that casually swears in conversation.

And, FFS, it's done by people who barely speak English. Proof is I can call almost any one of them a catamite and it won't register as abuse. I had to deal with a junior manager at my bank a while ago who got a bit affronted at my language. What to do? Obviously, call her a cockroach, but as genus and species. Dumb can't didn't have a clue

And here's a conundrum for you. Swear in the street and the swine can charge you with offensive language...notwithstanding that s/he is barely literate...you take the witness stand in court and....you guessed it..the first thing they ask you to do is swear...on a book of fairy tales

Holy schnikes that’s funny, the first sentence hits home and the nail on the head. Class action, anyone? Oh, the pain, oh, the suffering. 

I will not endorse or embrace your choice to use to use superior intelligence for your own entertainment, but it is within your right and what the can’t don’t know won’t herd her, until she wises up later anyway.

I suppose modifying your writing to conform to the rule would be much too much to ask.  

I suppose censorship has it’s place, too. One does not have to like it and has the ability to ask and complain, certainly. 

You certainly have every right to complain and to question any rule. I don't think it'll do much good, especially doing it in the forums, but who knows?

Personally, I'd use the "make a sugestion" link under help and mainline my complain/suggestion.

I posted a post showing how every cuss word known to man could be used with some minor modification.  My post was removed. 

well I will be badgered by a bobcat , what the chuffs going on here ,

reminds me of a hiding I got of my mum , she walloped me for swearing and told me never to use words I didn't know , a week later I said mum I know what @@@@ means , she went ballistic lol still its a lesson ive never forgot don't act smart to defeat mum logic
