not getting notified

I'm getting notifications of every kind! but nothing to tell me when the other guy has moved. Do I have to turn that on somewhere?

Go to your home page, click online chess, then settings, and towards the bottom is a 3 line "notifications preference" area.  That should do it.

OOPS:  My bad, it's called "game alert notification"  or was it "game alert preferences".  Apparently my short term memory is shot .

I'm also not getting consistent email notifications when my opponent moves. I've only gotten one out of 4 moves. And it's not going into my spam box. It seems to be a bug on chess.com. My settings are right. 

I just found this knowledgebase answer which says that you must be logged out to get email notifications. I'm thinking this is the issue. I'd rather get email alerts even when not logged out. But this probably explains why I haven't been receiving them for the most part. Hopefully logging out will solve the issue.

Chesslations: That works, I get notifications if the other person logs out. Since then though, I just keep the page alive and look from time to time :)
