More the first one I would say... she is more of a Caro-Kann type person than a Sicilian
Notification: I am getting banned

do cool stuff with her and be a good husband during the day play chess at night
maybe cut down ur hours

Ha Ha, thanks for the advice. I concede to her 'advise' though, chess - which isn't even my main hobby, can take over way too much time if you allow it.
Much as I enjoy a game of chess, she will always have the upper hand because she can withhold things that I enjoy even more

3 hours a day is a temporary (pandemic) measure to try to raise my game after a 39 year gap (and 39 year marriage).
I spend more time on magic (www.mystifier.co.uk). Both want more time than I could ever give.

Easy solution, use magic to create more time.

I just showed my wife this thread and she thinks that it is hilarious.
I would seriously warn against addiction though. In normal (OTB) times, I only played around 30 games a year and very little outside of that. I rarely did puzzles but I spent around 3 hours a week studying. In a few months, I have played more chess online than the rest of my life and it brings it home when I went to do today's puzzles and saw that I have spent more than 85 hours solving them in as many days!!!
You can do a LOT with that time.
I have had notification that I am (quite rightly) getting banned - from spending so much time on chess.com by my wife.
Since I joined a few months ago, every day I have spend 1 hour on puzzles, 1 hour learning/revising and 1 hour playing but it has been brought to my attention that everything else (including her) are being neglected.
Fair comment so I will be reducing my activity and not looking at the forums any more.
