online chess is destroyed. RIP ✝️

The answer my friend, is blowing in the wind
The answer is blowing in the wind
hummmm

It’s so destroyed that Chess.com has more than $100 million in revenue and more than 150 million members, with 60 million of those active in a given month.

See https://www.chess.com/forum/view/general-chess-discussion/erik-allebest-interview-on-scaling-to-100m-revenue-150m-members-and-700-people-99989457 - Erik could have been making a lot more money in other types of businesses, and some of his friends in his MBA class certainly are. Chess.com is looking to grow the game of chess as well and reach new people with it, and have done more in that space than anyone: I would argue more than FIDE even. They understand that "A rising tide floats all boats" and are looking to introduce more people to chess, and not just to try and make some money off them. What are you contributing with that attitude of yours, formed after just 6 days after joining? And why you are even here rather than hanging out over lichess, who have an explicitly open source model that would seem to better match your stated sensibilities?

You can't really post something and expect it to be taken as true, you need to explain why you arrived at this conclusion.
