@OP: That's right. If your opponent ever fails to move within a specified time control, you win the game on time. Normally, your rating won't change if this happens very early in the game.
Your rating will change if it's a tournament game or match game.
If you make an oppening move and your opponent does not move after the 3 day time period what is the result of the game?
