According to this video, Chess.com doesn’t ban grandmasters for cheating. They only ban regular players. Grandmasters are allowed a second chance and even get to see a list of other grandmasters in the cheater’s circle - info not available to regular players! Yeah that all seems really fair. That’s an hour long video - what’s the time mark for this claim? In any case, chess.com also gives regular players a chance to admit their cheating and come back with a new account, same as grandmasters. GMs may get the opportunity to rename their new account to the same as their old account but that’s the only additional privilege they get.
