Well, I really think that this is the root of the issue. The inability to distinguish between constructive discourse in which many varied positions are presented, and "abuse" or "all out war".
Dissenting positions are hijack attempts, and questioning that conclusion abuse. All are block-worthy.
And, apparently, positive-but-supplementary opinions are also hi-jack attempts.
Generally taking the mickey is also something Kaptain Krap won't put up with. 
I don't get note alerts and rarely read them. I couldn't say what goes on in them, so right, I wouldn't be mentioning that.

Neither do I, but still, it's got obviously noticeably more peaceful since you got booted Karl. You were without doubt the single biggest causer of trouble in that group.

If it is dominated by trolls I guess that makes you the biggest one of them all, because as I said the group is just so much more peaceful since you left. Sure some of the arguments may get a bit "heated", but unlike before they're all on the topic of cheating and much more constructive. The entire threads of petty and irrelevant squabbling with you at the centre (and almost all of the squabbling was with you at the centre) have "mysteriously" gone. So with all that in mind I'd like to see you try and explain how you weren't causing trouble.
I think chess.com should at least post the list of users to have blocked TheGrobe. This way, the rest of the community knows who to avoid.

Actually, Karl_, I've never met the man. He does, though, seem quite a reasonable fella', don't you think?
He is certainly one of the last posters around here whom I would expect to be blocked. 'geek blocked him for being rational and logical, if I recall correctly. Seems as if you've done the same.
Actually, there has been a lot of very fruitful discussion there, and it's been entirely unimpeded by the ridiculous self aggrandizement and soapboxing that used to occur there....
