You don't have to play those games.
In settings, you can say that you only want challenges from friends, or not at all.

Sometimes when I defeat an opponent at blitz, they'll somehow create one or more daily games with me. I don't play slow chess any more but since there seems to be no way to end the game without resigning, I play. However for whatever reason, they'll stop moving (or never start) in these games and lose on time. Is there a way to prevent these games from being created without my permission in the first place?
