Problem with giving non "fun" trophies

How are you accessing the "give a tropy" screen? Are you going through their profile? or through a game that you have finished with them? To access that trophies you are looking for, you need to use the later route.

baseballfan has answered your question accurately. to give a GAME trophy, you have to give that from the GAME page.

Ok, I'm relatively new to the site, have been playing for a few weeks and have already enjoyed some nice games (for my level anyway). Now I'm having some trouble with trophies. When trying to award a trophy to my opponent I'm automatically taken to the "fun" trophies selection. --I want to give my opponent a token gesture of appreciation for a fine battle with one of the game trophies, not mock them with some silly inanity.
Are game trophies restricted to paying members only? If so, why? What gives?
