Problem with iPhone app - my go when it wasn't....

I played some live games on the iphone app and the indicator icon was next to my name (indicating it was my go) when in fact I'd had my go.
I had to press the Home button on the phone. Wait 5 minutes and then went back into the app for it to reconnect.
Each time this basically meant I almost ran out of time as it happened multiple times in each game.
What's the problem with it??
