Profile pic settings?

Is there a size limit or any other requirements for uploading a picture to your profile? I have tried numerous times but nothing uploads. I don't get any warnings or errors or anything, it just does nothing.

There is a file size limit of less that 5 MB for sure and it may be 2 MB. I think there may be a max dimension as well, but if that's normally not the issue.
