I totally disagree. "Was" denotes a definite past time- it's past tense. "Has been" denotes a time that just transpired or referenced by the present time,- it's present perfect tense.

"Your move has been submitted" is weak writing. "Your move was submitted" is a stronger, more concise statement.
I'm aware movies on television use the same weak phrase to tell us the movie "has been" formated and "has been" edited when using "was" more concisely provides the same information. Chess.com can be better than that.
