How come only gay and lesbian people are proud of their sexuality? Why aren’t heterosexual people proud of their sexuality?

Everybody can be proud of anything they want to. The difference is that homosexuals have been prosecuted and put to shame for centuries (and still are in some places), and now many of them like to emphasize that there's no reason for being ashamed. I find it very logical.

Dante please before you report you must consider that the person might have been a foreigner with poor english skills trying to compliment his opponent. For example here, in Finland, pig is a term of endearment used only for the rarest occasions when the persons presence is of such degree pleasant that they're like a pig at the christmas table (A finnish tradition), meaning that they bring them the warmest feelings. "Voi heleveetti mikä sika" is said when a person's crush might be walking by or even straight to one's mother or perhaps before a fine game of chess to show one's respect. Please don't jump to conclusions that fast otherwise you're just confirming the stereotypes of English intelligence.

Well said

Maybe it is not the case here but this is very useful to know before people jump to bad conclusions about others.

I am personally proud that I have daughter and son.. and that I raised my rating from 1100 to 1500-1600 points on chess.com... but I am not proud that I am heterosexual because all around me... are heterosexual persons too..

And I don't think that being heterosexual is my honor.
