reported for abuse, but only because I won.

I got a message I was reported for abuse. I have never “trash talked” any opponent. Chess.com, please review any and all messages to any and all opponents. I was verbally abused after winning a game and he said I would be reported (for what?). I am guessing that chess.com does not review any reports of abuse, but rather takes them at face value. I was falsely accused. I am guessing that is common place here. Pity. Being verbally abused and then get further victimized by the process that supposed to stop the harassment. Thanks chess.com

They do review the reports and they don't take reports at face value. They look to see if you have a history of people making reports and also look at the history of the person making the report.

If 27 people have made similar reports, you're likely to face trouble. If it was the first, most likely not.

I know this because someone made a report against me stating that I had said vile things. Because it didn't fit in with my previous patterns, they were able to discount it.

Ok. Sure.   But I don’t buy it.   I have not bad mouthed anyone.   But I still get reported.   So be it.   And so what?   The internet can be such a cesspool of humanity.

Right now you are badmouthing the internet.

In your first post, you bad-mouthed chess.com.

I think you should calm down.

/ You have played more than 36,000 games here. It can't be the first time someone said something.

Lol...thanks for your concern.   You call that bad mouthing?    If calling out injustice is badmouthing, then I’m guilty.

The whole concept of justice rests on the principle that the accused has the right to complain about mistreatment. You can't just dismiss it as badmouthing. If anything that makes you part of the problem, no offense

https://www.chess.com/forum/view/general/are-psychology-tactics-allowed-in-live-chess from a guy who says he deliberately threatens to report all opponents to throw them off their games.

/ I reported him.

No, the right to confront your accuser in court is one of your rights. This isn't court but even if it were, he hasn't confronted his accuser. All he has done is to express his contempt of court.

Reporting someone works when you have a legitimate complaint.

Badmouthing chess.com doesn't work.

Thanks John Lawyer.  This isn’t a court.  Ive been so done with this.   Why keep it moving forward?   What’s your motivation in continuing?   Perhaps telling me to calm down was a projection?
