It seems Chess.com is fine by racist abusers on its site as long as it makes money!!

I would rather not play on a forum which doesn't have mechanism to punish offensive commentators on its site.

You might say that we can block such users, but it seems Chess.com is particularily fine doing business and providing racists and bigots a platform to voice as long as chess.com makes money.

Unless you have mechanism to ban verified racist abusers ..its not fine.

I would appreciate a useful response on this .or I would prefer to switch to platforms where such racism is not tolerated!!

Racists are like zombies....they chase and abuse you from chat window to notes on your profile and drop thier funk there, i usually delete and move on....

On free platforms, you will always run into them.

Oh please get off your high horse.

There is enough being done. Posts are quickly deleted containing racist content and you yourself can send tickets to support if you think a certain player who is racist should be banned/muted.

Paid/free it doesn't matter. Chess.com will always be free, the fact that there are premium members doesn' mean they are censored / watched more then opposed to free members?

That means, let abusers continue their good work and and we do our's,right? fair/foul situations huh!

Dude, just block him. If that isn't enough, you can report him.

Bye, rampy. Go have a tantrum on some other site.

Huh, not clear?

If everybody has to pay for an account, they would think twice before making multiple accounts or losing their account because of the TOS. Seems pretty clear to me.

Okay agreed, logic is good, but what if it continues in paid platform?,then the mod's will have to mute or delete many account's and ruin some good buisness prospect's.What then?,do you think they will do that, most likely not(referring to mods of other sites, not chess.com, lol).Trolling and a bit of this and that are part of it i belive, you may disagree.

There is no reporting mechanism on this site!

The only option is to block that particular person... but my point is Chess.com willingly allow abusive posters because all it cares about is there business and going by the predominantly western responses, crying foul about my post.

Every other social platform has a mechanism to get an abusive player penalized for racism but i am surprised this site has none!

I am comparing to any social media available to us.. Infact multiplayer games like steam, have much better reporting system than the highly convulted system which basically frees Chess.com of its responsibility to discourage racism on its platform!

Why do you say that? It has, and it works well indeed.

The site simply says dont report a person if that person can be simply blocked .... so If a player tends to send racially abusive players in game, I should be ok to just block him and let him continue to use this site for his racial vomit on others..

Sorry sir, thats not enough! Racism should not have access to platforms to spout their venom!

Avatar of rampy87

Kinda ironic that all the people who think that the site is doing enough are all Europeans and Americans!! Sealed

Avatar of Pulpofeira

Well, as far as I know, if you make a report adding a screenshot showing racist comments as a proof they get their butt kicked immediately. I know about some cases.

It's okay to let off some steam, rampyWink. Let it all out, have a good cry now!!
