How does one reset their rating I have been teaching a friend chess (785 rating yesterday) and now he is suddenly 1025 after he beat me at 1 game. Unless that win raised it 245 points...hmmm

You can't reset your chess ratings.

Your opponent has only played two rated daily games. Therefore, their rating deviation is high. Until they play more rated daily games, their rating will fluctuate a lot.

The previous daily games you played with this opponent were unrated.
