"resign" button should be moved

Sort:

Today, while using analyse the board, i accidently clicked resign. This has happened to me several times before, as the resign button is right underneath the "previous move/next move" buttons, so it's an easy mistake to make. Unfortunately on this occasion, i then also accidently clicked "yes." to the "are you sure you want to resign" option.

Has this happened to others before? I think this is a poor layout to have the resign button so close to the previous move/next move buttons, as it's obviously easy to misclick. It was something i'd thought of before my accidental resignation today.

Yes I have seen that before

I'm actually very paranoid about it now! Gonna be having nightmares about that resign button.

Yeah this is why I prefer to play on my laptop then I can see it easier

It actually occured on my laptop. I don't even know how it happened, I just wanted to study the position.

You can thank me later, In the unlikely event chess.com act on my request! ☺️

Hmmm, I this never happened to me before, being a laptop player, and I don't use a mouse.

So you misclicked both the resign button and the are you sure button? Come on, you have to take responsibility for at least one of those two.

It has never happened to me in any game before. Why was your mouse even in that area? If you are truly paranoid, turn on confirm resign.

Just enable "Confirm Resign" in your settings

I never had the issue either, and I agree with ice boi on the "Why does anyone even use the previous and next move buttons in the first place?"

I even don't know that there are such option buttonts during a current game... at all ! LOL )) ...

What sense to use them while you are still playing ?

When a game is over... you can analyze it in details.
