Cats inspire tolerance. They don't believe in making a fuss over nothing.

bigpoison

You can tolerate something, and still know that it is stupid, annoying, and silly.Tongue out  Right, Rex?

ZION-DAVID

hello erik

i sent u a question maybe u didnt get it or dont know answer

i asked  if i am playing a fast game say 1min  i am allowed to make some moves whitout wating for my or oppenents clock

am i also allowed to hold my peice with mouse and move it to a new point

WAIT  for my clock to start OR WAIT for my oppenent clock to stop and them just drop my peice

i king of estimate the other players move a some time i loose cause

my moves a mistake but thats life u cant get every thing

TheGrobe

If I understand correctly, you're asking if it's allowed for you to hold your peice over a square so that you can immediately drop it as soon as you're opponent has moved minimizing the amount of time that comes of your clock?

Given that there is a feature that you can turn on (Pre-Move) that will even enable you to drop the piece in advance of your opponent making their move I don't think that it's a problem.  You might even want to try turning on the Pre-Move feature -- it will ensure that no time comes off of your clock.

As I understand it, Pre-Move still uses a fractional amount of time.

I thought this as well and messaged him about premove an hour ago, but he shot back a reply that this is not what he is talking about.  He kind of seems like he is on a parallel universe or something. Tongue out

Is that right?  I've never actually used it, so I guess I just assumed that it was zero due to the numerous threads where people have mistaken the use of pre-move with "clock manipulation" because "no time game off of my opponents clock!".

ChessDweeb

Do parallel universes exist? I've heard of the bubble theory but would bubbles be considered parallel or one in the same since they are part of each other?

TheGrobe

Well the idea of parallel universes seems to imply that they'd never meet so if simsim50 is coming across somehow through the ether it's likely not from a parallel universe.

I'd buy perpendicular....

ChessDweeb

Good point.

If you have a thorn in your foot, you pull it out. If you have cancer, you try to kill it before it kills you. If your significant other abuses you, you should leave. If your best friend keeps farting while you play video games, don't invite him back. This list can go on forever. The things that people tolerate can ruin their lives and make them miserable. Even the stupid and silly ones. So eliminate the problem.

Rael

False comparison, ChessDweeb.

I'm sure we could very quickly find a list of things that you think are silly but the existence of which you simply must tolerate.

Howabout Hannah Montana for starters?
