Yes, that was all very mysterious (I suspect that another language is involved).

Say woody, what're you, an archaeologist all of the sudden?  Keep digging through the archives like this and you're gonna start coming across Hittites & stuff...

 I still expected the arrows to work. It IS surprising how many go unanswered.

I seemed to recall the solution to this one (from wherever the heck I came across it, whenever the heck that was) as being 1 Rc2 (and not the obvious 1 Rc1).

Punching it into Nalimov just now though, I find that both 1 Rc2 and Rc3 mate in 22. Smile
