Daylight Savings Time. Yes, I forgot America has that.
You want to start now?
Apparently I can't both watch the U.S. Championships and play solskytz at the same time. I had a probably drawn ending, but then blundered it away in one move. AND I'm 15 minutes late for something, so 30 12 is too long for me.

Analysis later.
Robert is not taking me seriously, and today he paid the price.
I used my time to plan my play, and certainly didn't play the best way in the totally winning endgame I reached, allowing him to push my king around, instead of choosing an alternative and safer plan.
Winning a piece near the end certainly helped, but the position was by no means a draw also before that.
Solskytz 1

The next game will be scheduled soon, and we'll let you know when.
By the way - did anybody kibitz? And did you guys talk with each other? And did you see what Robert and I were writing?
Just to know how things work...
I had a drawn ending, but the time control was too long for me and I was late for something--which is why I rushed and blundered a piece.
Either that, or it would be a draw... that about covers the options.
Here is tonight's game, for your sheer enjoyment and pleasure.
Come on robert, take him seriously!
I know Magnus beat him on incrimant, but you aren't magnus (yet) so please try!
Fun game BTW
You should try KG maybe.
Looking forward to more from this series!
Thanks man :-)
And who knows - maybe Robert can also beat me on increment... maybe it just didn't work this time - one never knows...
Solskytz, I think you could've won the knight on move 31 if you had played Re7. Qxh6 hangs whites rook with Qxg4+ and i don't see a way white can mate you with the rook on the 7th rank. I could be wrong though and it does look pretty scary for black. Either way congrats on the win!
<Erik> an unbelievable idea indeed!!
To let him capture that pawn on h6 - nothing was farther than my thoughts.
I don't think that more time on the clock would have helped me either - as I wasn't even looking for something like this.
The rook does fall with check, and after that I have as many checks as I want.
Then when I'm done checking - you're absolutely right - there's nothing white can do. If he goes g7, I just take it with the rook and say thank you.
So complicated! I wasn't even looking for that - but you're absolutely right - the point is that his queen is tied to the defense of the g4 square and can't leave. I will bear in mind this special seventh-rank-defense idea for future encounters. Many thanks indeed!!!
I want to see you playing King's Gambit (Robert and Solskytz).
I also vote for it.
<Marco> You won't see 1. e4 e5 2. f4 coming from me. I have better uses for my whites.
Robert is invited to try - I really enjoy playing these positions as black!!!
Logozar also encouraged him to go for it a bit earlier (oh look - he now posted again before I had time to answer you!!!) - So why not :-)
- - - - - - - - -
I will play WHITE in games two and three
Then Robert will have WHITE in games four and five,
and so on.
Oops... I had no idea
Did you switch into summer's saving time very recently or something?
Fine - I will adapt :-)
