Does Chess.com have a way to block non friends/family members from accessing a minors account/profile?

Not sure how accessing their profile would affect their security. All it states is their ratings, bio, and username. No reason to need security for that

If you want security for minors than use chess kid.com, they don’t allow chat.

I coached elementary for a few years and I had my kids use that.

Thank you for the referral to Chess kids. That was what I was trying to avoid. No chat access. Thank you.

Kids prefer chess.com coz they see it has more features, freedom, and interactions with people from various backgrounds

I too found any platform or community for kids only to be boring

CraigPapaya there is chesskid and chesskids dot com. 2 different sites.

I used chesskid, I was happy with that, but be sure to look at both. I don’t know much about chesskids.

There is a Safe Mode feature in Settings, but I don't think there is a way to prevent the account holder from changing that setting, so you would need to monitor site use all the time to make sure they didn't turn it back on.

But chesskid is probably your best bet.
