Money’s terribly sad, but what’s far worse are those dumpster diving to survive since they’re without it’s lousy captivity our civilization got jacked up in.
Shot down
…..instead of all in the beginning working for another, therefore never to have lost the familyhood OF MANKIND, that I’m sure easily would’ve absolutely removed any absurdity known as war THATS raw, a pathetic outcome much because OF money .
Money (and lack of it) isn't new. War isn't new. It's easy enough to imagine a world where everyone helps everyone else, but no one knows how to make it happen. Humans are deeply flawed and at times seem to behave in paradoxical ways. Why do people allow pointless suffering? Why do people cause suffering and death over trivial matters? Religion tries to account for this by talking about grand ideas like Good and Evil. Humans love to imagine themselves as special in this way, whether spiritually, emotionally, or intellectually... but reality is harsh. The paradoxes are an illusion created by defining ourselves in such grand, absolute and ideal terms. Our flaws come from the fact that we're just animals who have relied (and still rely) on instinct to survive. We're very good at surviving. Unfortunately that's all we're good at, and survival is an extremely low bar. The lowest bar in fact.
Anyway, I'm rambling. The point is it has nothing to do with money or war. Humans are deeply flawed by nature, and society has always reflected this, and will continue to reflect this as long as humans exist.
For what it’s worth….. had there n e v e r been that crap we would’ve been beyond your wildest imagination OF GOOD in advancement, IM SURE.
Well, as I said in the beginning, it's easy enough to imagine an ideal world where everyone gets along and is happy. Everyone can imagine it, but in all the people who have come before us, every one of them has failed to make it a reality. No one has even come close.
Societies, civilizations, religions, languages, cultures... all these things fade away over time. They all die. Everything humans have ever done, and will ever do, can be separated into two groups: things that have disappeared forever, and things that will disappear forever at some point in the future.
My apologies for the digression.
Digress all you want.
Thanks. You are very kind.
By the way, the post about who will lose more weight in the upcoming WC match has 3,622 views. In the meantime, I am writing articles about Tartakower.....feel like a dinosaur talking to a robot!
Not sure if that is the reason why my enthusiasm for posting is waning.....
@kamalakanta I enjoyed your post about Tartakower very much and I reposted it in many clubs. Thank you!
Thanks so much!

This site is geared towards and appeals to people who regard Twitter as great literature and respond to anything over 30 words with TL: DR. There are, of course people with a true interest in quality, but it's a niche crowd. Chess.com itself doesn't care about your, mine or anyone's blogs other than the ones they control. Chess.com doesn't care about the forums (where I now choose to post chess content --with very few views). Chess.com only cares about riding the wave of here-today-gone-tomorrow players who drive the numbers and see chess as some sort of video game. Writing, studying, learning, sharing must be a passion because, since the playback pretty slim, the real reward must be in going through the process with the hope that someone may take something from it or at least be inspired. I'll have to say that you have inspired people... unfortunately, people who may most benefit from that inspiration are directed towards videos, streamers and such ponderous questions uch as how many GMs can sit on the head of an absolute pin.
Batgirl your articles are excellent. Really Chess should be paying you for your efforts. It adds so much to the site.

Awhile back, I was re-reading the delightful content of A Drunken Alekhine when i noticed on the forum sidebar another forum about using cannabis and playing chess....so why not check out what chessmate's had to say about playing chess in that altered state of awareness. One of the posts was about the myth perpetuated by Harry J.Anslinger : "In the year 1090, there was founded in Persia the religious and military order of the Assassins, whose history is one of cruelty, barbarity, and murder, and for good reason: the members were confirmed users of hashish, or marihuana, and it is from the Arabs' 'hashashin' that we have the English word 'assassin.'" ~ Harry J. Anslinger. Not true, and very interestingly when I posted just the quote from Harry exposing his bias, A BIG RED BAR appeared at the top of my post immediately...not anywhere near enough time for a Humanoid to read the quotation. It was the first time I have been threatened to lose the "privilege" of participating in Chess.com forums. So...since a Humanoid didn't have time to read and reject,...What was IT that did ? Howabout this gem from Harry: "Reefer makes darkies think they're as good as white men." ~ Harry J. Anslinger. Or :"I wish I could show you what a small marihuana cigarette can do to one of our degenerate Spanish-speaking residents. That's why our problem is so great; the greatest percentage of our population is composed of Spanish-speaking persons, most of who are low mentally, because of social and racial conditions." ~ Harry J. Anslinger okay....I am going to push the post button and see what happens

I only knew of Anslinger due to Billie Holiday... and that in itself was more than enough for me.
