Gadget yes, how would you use it as a side bar? There are game gadgets; puzzle gadgets; and I guess other forms of widgets used as rss feeds to let you know when it is your move.

Basically, just a little guy that lets you know when it's your move, when a friend comes online, when you get a message, stuff like that.
Has anyone thought about developing a chess.com sidebar gadget? Cuz, you know, that'd be pretty cool. I was just browsing through the microsoft gadget website thinking, "almost all of these are completely useless!"
It'd be nice to have a decent one to justify my keeping the sidebar on in the first place!!
I'd offer to do it myself except I really don't have a sniff about programming. (Can that even be called programming?)
