I recently started playing chess with the app and it is great; however, I want to play against my boyfriend virtually but it seems to take forever for each move to load and kicks me out of the game after each move. Is this normal? Are there any apps that facilitate live online playing that you stay in the game? (I have the setting set for 1 move max 24hours)
You have the setting set for daily correspondence set. That is max 24 hours, and is actually my preferred way to play. This will typically cause you to leave the game after the move so that you can move on to other things on the site or other moves while you are waiting for your opponent to move. Each side has 24 hours to make each move before time runs out.
If you want to play a Live game, you can do that. Go to Play --> Play and challenge a friend to a live game.
