In that case he should have gotten 60

That makes no sense.

The record is 59

I'm just going to pretend you're under the age of... IDK... 20. And so I'll ignore this.

Do you know the difference between getting 60 and 61? Probably at LEAST a minute of time on the clock, and that's for a player of Hikaru's level. Makes sense now?

Frankly, it causes me anxiety sometimes, that some people are dumber than me. It's like I can't have a conversation.

Of course I've talked to brilliant people too, who are much smarter than me.

I'm just saying.

in his most recent 61 run he got it, and the remaining three wrong, with 1:06 to spare.

FWIW the last 5 or so are among the highest rated tactics on TT, meaning they are the easiest to find; so if he did memorize, that sticks out like a sore thumb.

Hmm, well maybe he cheated. I don't know.

Like some guy said earlier though, it's dumb to use his real name if that's the case.

Sure, he may have manufactured an ID that said he's Casper Schoppen (never heard of him) and that's how he got the IM designation from chess.com, then he used a program.

I'm definitely interested in whether we'll see his account open a week or two from now.

But at the same time I'm able to believe it's possible. I haven't looked at his record run though. I guess you're saying he got to 61 with a minute to spare.

Yes. The more I look into it the more I find this extremely odd.

(I'm looking at his most recent run of 61)

Starting from puzzle #50, I start to recognize these. They are the puzzles that repeat when your tactics rating gets extremely high (for example, my 6765). It took about 2-3 months for me to feel confident in answering them. He blew through those (puzzle 57 is mate in 6) but missed the last three (which were much simpler)

Oh, I didn't look at your ratings.

If you're an experienced chess.com tactics guy then you know better than I do how fishy this guy is. I'll trust your analysis.

Okay...

I guess you just can't get my point, and we'll have to move on

Hmmm...

at https://www.chess.com/member/vrolijk one of his notes implies that @cschoppen went on his account and got a 58. Interesting, maybe that's why @vrolijk's 58 was removed from the chess.com leader board?

Edit: @cschoppen's 61 also got removed from the leader board. Now it's a tie between Ray Robson and him.

Edit #2: @cschoppen just said something on his profile (emphasis mine):

"I have 2000+ puzzle rushes on a different account. The only way to get a high score is to practice a lothappy.png"

You also need other things e.g. a picture of yourself holding a piece of paper that says "chess.com" on it.

Definitely, that guy who plays under the name [public accusations not allowed -- MOD] is a cheat, it looks like a clear PR bot. He did 61, and ALL the previous records 59, 58 and 57 (last two as [removed -- MOD]) with 0.03s avg time per puzzle, in all cases 1-1.5 min remained on his clock!! When I wrote this on his wall he immediately deleted this note and started to wait every time until the time run out, I was following how he's doing it. It's very easy, just try to click on the first line of the player's rush archive and reload the page every x seconds.

IMHO I don't think that it's real Casper Schoppen, more like impersonator, but after cautious comparison of his play with @spicycaterpillar 's rushes it's clear that spicy plays fairly and [removed -- MOD] is not
