You're stuck precisely because you play blitz. Look I'm not saying folks can't get better just by playing blitz; plenty of really gifted players have done so, but most titled players got good the old fashioned way: playing long slow games and rigorously analyzing them afterwards. With over 1,000 blitz games under your belt, you're probably not a naturally gifted player so it's time to change your approach. Or not; nobody says you can't just keep doing what you're doing if you enjoy it.
Oh, and if you wanted to try doing some studying, a lot of experts think tactics provide the most bang for the buck at your level.
