I had one of my Super Admins submit a ticket just today I was thinking of just messaging erik myself since he's on my friends list Babs , but I realise how busy he gets , and I already know he has to sift through tons of messages. So Instead Kenny submitted a ticket., I am curious to find out what happened. I will keep you posted for sure Babs.
Super Admin critical feature needed
I have been admin in many groups since almost 2 years, and I can confirm that there was no such feature [ability to delete specific comments in forums] in the past. One of my co admins in a group even asked me whether if there was such a feature and I said no, admins can delete only the entire thread. One or two such incidents have happened in my groups, and so I know surely that admins cannot delete any comment in forums, in the past too, since I have been here.
Only moderators and staff can delete any specific comment. And if any person posts something unacceptable, I think it's prudent to give him a warning, and ban him if he repeats it. And, I would send a message to either kohai or one of the mods whom I know, asking them to delete that particular comment.

There was a feature I used it before to remove someones posting from my own teams forum. Perhaps you never noticed , But I know from first hand expeience that it was there .It was not in threads , But in my own teams personal forums ...
chicky chicky reminds me of that other chess lady that used to be here that went by the name office chick,
She looks the same as the other girl but better looking,
Can you smell what the Rock's got Cooking ?
Step into a Slim Jim Brother,
This Carly's better looking than the Other,
My Feelings for her can only Grow,
Tell Them Stone Cold Said So,
True Friendship Knows No Borders,
It's a Bulletheadbilly New World Order.....
Still waiting on a response... from staff. We have actually gone back and forth a few times. But still am not sure whether the old feature will be restored or not. Either way I am anxious to see how this turns out.
Good stuff, a few have manage to take a pertanant question and turn it into a subplot for means souly to get some digs in, very subtle. good job you really showed em.... no i dont know how to use the spell check function, for the curious, but i am coocoo for coacoa puffs... pretty telling im sure

I agree wholeheartedly! I never new this function even existed!

Yep , It was not available to admins. Only to Super Admins. I used it in fact. quite a few times to remove a single comment or video picture or whatever the case may have been...
Now we either have to remove the entire forum or report to staff whtever we feel needs to be removed.
Which in my opinion is just allot more work for staff to do.I wish the feature would be put back in place.
such an option should b reinstated. i'v never been a SA (not a pay'n member) sowat's the verdict from chess.com on this issue?
Hahahaha! I dunno I think they swept it under the rug...I'll ask Kenny. We were working on this before I ended up in the hospital and just put it on the back burner. But it would be cool to have it back. It would save staff allot of work. So i can only imagine that it could only benefit everyone ...
So . I'll ask Kenny when he get's back
Sounds like someone has control issues.
But then again I've never run a group so maybe this is actually important.
Me <----------Control issues yup , You got me . I was hoping for an eject button , but I don't see it happening anytime soon!

Such an option could be used in "control freak" type of way. The option, however, could also be used to maintain "kid appropriate" forums and weed out the trolls.
hmmmmmm ... perhaps THAT'S y chess.com took it away cuz SA's wr abuse'n it? didn't think of that but i could c the potential of ppl's voices & opinions b'n suppressed & forums b'n manipulated2only reflect those whom agree w/SA, etc. now that i think about it, not sure if it's gd2hv or not. on1hand, SA's should hv full control over his/her group; however, i don't believe in individually eliminating specific voices bc of their difference of opinion either. so i guess so long as the option2report a troll2chess.com is still available4them2remove individual posts w/o sacrificing the entire forum, then i guess i'm not c'n2big a problem. duza group belong2the SA? or duz it belong2the members? do the members represent the SA? or duz the SA represent his/her members?

Well this is gonna be strange coming from me here, because many times I've disgreed with this guy in the past but on this one I have to agreed with what he has said.
