No problem. I have done this for you. :)

Can I be a super admin too?  That way I could fix your website to make it work for Windows XP again. Cry

Sorry, not even SAs have that kind of power. ;)  But seriously, it doesn't work for you at all? What browser are you using?

About a month and a half ago there was an update and after that the boards don't display anymore in the forums (I just get the little white and grey "thinking" checkerboard eternally).  I posted it in the Help and Support section with a few other XP users saying they have the same problem.  I got a private message from one of the Admins that basically said "we don't support IE8 anymore, so go buy a new computer if you want to see the boards properly".  Irritating.

Everyone is trying to help, I'm sure no irritation was meant to be caused by the admin who wrote to you. IE8 and Win XP are different to my knowledge, one's a browser and one's an operating system, and while both are older, I think you can still use XP to do most things on Chess.com. Have you tried using Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox on your XP operating system?

Also, you may need to update your version of Java. You can do that here: http://java.com/en/download/index.jsp

Casual_Joe

I have the latest version of Java.  The connection between IE8 and WinXP is that IE8 is the highest version of IE that you can get on WinXP.  I was hoping you could just undo whatever detail in the latest update made it not work for IE8.

I agree with the person who said try a different browser.  Firefox and Chrome both still have WinXP versions.  They will probably work better than IE ever did.

Casual_Joe

Ok, I installed Firefox and it looks like it works there.
